The final lap: Reflection
The past whole semester of COM 125 has been a fun experience. There was a balance of both hands on and theory, which I thought was a good mix. Watching others' presentations were interesting as well; I got to hear different topics of choice, ranging from the more serious ones such as e-commerce to the more lighthearted ones such as YouTube fandoms.
My favorite...
Topic
Throughout the course, I had some topics that I liked better than the others. Probably the most interesting one was Internet Security. It brought back memories of my old Fujitsu computer, which died a horrible death after getting bludgeoned by viruses, Trojans and worms for a year. I wish I'd paid more attention to security back then and had easy-to-comprehend information about security like we do now.
But on the bright side- the inevitable death of the Fujitsu was also the beginning of my five-year journey with my MacBook, which is virus free and reasonably quick, despite being overworked and a lousy battery pack.
Blogpost
Probably the most enjoyable blog post I wrote was week four's eMarketing, where I spent half the day scouring YouTube for relevant advertisements and marketing videos. I love advertisements and looking at how creative they can get. After that post, I started a collection of print ads from different sites so that they may help to squeeze some creative juices should I get writer's block when making my own posters.
Here are a couple of my favorites that have been very popular online:

Experience
My favorite part about the presentation was creating the accompanying video for our project presentation on #Instagram was hilarious and fun. I like video production, so the process was more like a hobby than a stressful project with deadlines to meet. We spent a day at our fellow group mate Janice's house, where we shot four scenes and then met up on another day during our powerpoint consolidation to shoot another one.

In a nutshell, COM 125 was a great opportunity to learn new stuff and relearn the old stuff. Although the information in the course may seem basic, there are other aspects and little details that we have to pay attention to as well.
